This third book of a three novel arc opens the story with James McKenzie, Maria and Conchita Castellano, Mariella Montoya, Kimberly Aronson, and Santana Byrne living on an estate just outside of London near Pinewood studios. Mariella, Mari, is co-starring in a new film production of an old English whodunit, but spends most of her off time with James and his women.
Saldana Byrne now knows that her guardian, Geoffrey Byrne is her real father but does not understand why he has never told her the full truth. She wants to understand her past and asks James to help.
Enter into their lives the two Lords Cavendish, their wives and sisters, and the story takes off from there. Thegroup travels from London to Edinburgh, to Dublin, to Paris and finally to Rome, before finally returning to Merida and his new jungle retreat near the city of Progreso. He is joined there eventually by his women, who had mostly left him, rebelling against his strictness in their behavior while with him in his world. The morality of the wealthy elites is challenged by those who do not inhabit their rarified world. .
Tensions are high.
